KS1 Year 1/2

Dear Parents and Carers

We know it is hard, when the school community is separated so we would like to run some creative and fun family projects, that we can share across the school. Here is this week's challenge:

Can you make some art using only natural materials you can find on your daily walks or in your gardens? Can you create some with your brothers/sisters or other family members?
We would love to see and share what you produce. Please email any of your photos to homelearning@st-peterscofe.essex.sch.uk
and we will upload them to the school website gallery and school Facebook page. Have fun!

Home learning plans and resources will be accessed via this page and you can upload work on Seesaw.

Our Class Meetings via your Teams log-in:

  • 10:20 - 10:30 phonics yr1

  • 10:30 - 10:45 English

  • 10:45 - 10:55 phonics yr2

So: Year 1 need to arrive by 10:20, Year 2 need to arrive by 10:30.

At 2pm there will be a drop-in session, via Teams,  to discuss any of the home learning for that day with a teacher.

As your children are spending more time online it is important we do all we can to teach them the skills they need to stay safe and have a positive time. It is essential they know what personal information to keep private and to talk to an adult if they have any concerns.

Google's Be Internet Legends project is designed to teach your child those skills. Find out what's real at Reality River, visit the Kind Kingdom, think before you share at Mindful Mountain, or learn how to secure your secrets at The Tower of Treasure.

Thank you for your support and we look forward to seeing you in live lessons.

Kind Regards,

Miss Bolton, Mrs Brooker and Mr Robertson.
