Our Continuity of Learning Plan
Dear Parents and carers,
We are really enjoying being back in a more settled routine with all of the children in school.
However, we need to plan for the weeks and months ahead. We know that the number of cases of coronavirus is increasing across the country and we have been planning for a range of possibilities.
If a member of your family has tested positive and you have been told to isolate as a family, we will provide work for your child during their absence from school. This will be arranged by the class teacher and will include tasks in line with the planned class learning.
If there are cases in the school community, we will follow advice from public health, the NHS or the DFE which may include sending a bubble or bubbles home for a period of isolation as directed.
If this happens, we have a plan for continuity of learning, which will include online learning. During lockdown we used a combination of work posted on the website as well as Tapestry for EYFS and Seesaw for the rest of the school. We will continue using these platforms. In addition, we will use Microsoft Teams to enable the teachers to deliver live and recorded lessons when appropriate. Each child will have a Teams user name and we will send you information on how to use Teams (if you are unfamiliar with this platform). We will also show children how to use Teams in school.
We will continue to develop our plans to ensure that all children have access to high quality learning at all times.
Thank you for your continued support.
